The Khumbu, Sherpa and Summit are LEKI’s full-diameter standard trekking poles from the 2008–2009 production era, built for serious mountain walkers tackling long high-level routes — from the ridgelines of the Lake District’s High Street to the exposed approaches of the Scottish Munros. The 18/16/14 mm three-section SLS construction delivered dependable Super Lock System twist-collar locking with a silver coated finish across all three models. This 490 mm lower section is the tip-end unit and the component that sustains the most direct ground impact and tip wear in field use. Correct replacement requires verifying both the printed length (490 mm) and diameter (14 mm) on your existing lower section before ordering. The SLS Super Lock System twist collar is specific to this generation and is not interchangeable with any Speed Lock lever design.
