LEKI Vario XS Junior & Legacy Junior Replacement Lower Section
Product code LESECL122 - Nature Anodized
£21.75
Description
LEKI Code: LESECL122 12 mm Section 561 mm Length Nature / Silver Anodized Speed Lock + (SL+) 2-Section Design Aluminium
Despite serving very different disciplines, a junior ski pole and a junior trekking pole can share identical lower section specifications — the same 12 mm diameter, 561 mm length, nature anodized aluminium tube, and Speed Lock + lever interface. LESECL122 is the genuine LEKI replacement lower section for two such poles: the LEKI Vario XS Junior (model 64920521), a 2-section Speed Lock + adjustable junior alpine ski pole, and the LEKI Legacy Junior (model 65320541), a 2-section Speed Lock + adjustable junior trekking pole. Both are built on a 14/12 mm HTS aluminium shaft, adjust from 80 to 110 cm, and use the same Speed Lock + lever assembly. Manufactured to the original specification, it restores the exact 12 mm diameter, 561 mm length, and tube surface the Speed Lock + lever depends on for solid clamping and smooth length adjustment. Note: this section is supplied with LEKI Flex Tip 784 — the junior steel tip fitted to these poles.

► Compatibility & Fitting Guide
LESECL122 is the correct replacement lower section for two LEKI junior poles that share an identical 12 mm nature anodized lower section specification. The LEKI Vario XS Junior is a 2-section Speed Lock + adjustable junior alpine ski pole with a 14/12 mm HTS aluminium shaft, PA Safety compact grip, and alpine basket (model 64920521, SS19). The LEKI Legacy Junior is a 2-section Speed Lock + adjustable junior trekking pole with a 14/12 mm HTS aluminium shaft, PAS Soft anatomic grip, and Nordic basket (model 65320541, SS23+). Both poles adjust from 80 to 110 cm and use the Speed Lock + (SL+) lever: a slim external clamp without an aluminium clamping piece, identified by a silver-coloured round dial. The 561 mm lower section length is the definitive identifier — check the printed measurement on your existing lower section before ordering.
✓ LEKI Vario XS Junior — 2-section Speed Lock + adjustable junior alpine ski pole, 14/12 mm HTS aluminium, nature anodized, 80–110 cm, PA Safety grip (model 64920521 and related production variants)
✓ LEKI Legacy Junior — 2-section Speed Lock + adjustable junior trekking pole, 14/12 mm HTS aluminium, nature anodized, 80–110 cm, PAS Soft grip (model 65320541 and related production variants)
✓ To fit: open the Speed Lock + lever fully, withdraw the worn lower section, insert LESECL122 and slide to approximate mid-position — do not force; close the lever, set the preferred length, and test the hold before use
✓ After fitting, apply firm opposing force between the grip and the basket end — the section must hold without slipping; if it moves, adjust the Speed Lock + tension screw clockwise until the lever locks firmly at a comfortable closing force
► Not Compatible With
✗ Poles using Speed Lock 1 (SL1), Speed Lock 2 (SL2), Speed Lock 2+ (SL2+), or SLS — different lever mechanisms and lower section lengths; tube diameter may match but the section length and clamping interface differ
✗ Adult LEKI poles with a 14 mm lower section — these require a different LEKI section code; LESECL122 is the 12 mm junior variant for 80–110 cm poles only
✗ Fixed-length junior poles — these have no adjustable lower section; LESECL122 is dimensioned for 2-section telescopic construction only
✗ Poles with a black anodized or carbon lower section — LESECL122 is the nature anodized aluminium variant; a different section code is required for black anodized or carbon lower sections of otherwise identical specification
BEFORE YOU ORDER — QUICK CHECK
✓ Section length: the printed measurement on the existing lower section must read 561 mm — this is the primary specification and overrides all other checks
✓ Diameter: confirm the lower (tip) end of the section measures 12 mm — if it measures 14 mm, a different LEKI replacement code is required
✓ Locking system: the poles must use Speed Lock + — a slim external lever with a silver-coloured round dial and no aluminium clamping piece between the shaft sections; if the lever has a transparent or smoke-grey dial, a different section code applies
✓ Tip: this section is supplied with LEKI Flex Tip 784 (junior steel tip) — if only the tip needs replacing and the section tube is undamaged, Flex Tip 784 can be ordered separately
