The Soft AS, CorTec AS, Ergometric Antishock, Softlite AS, and Corklite AS are LEKI’s aluminium SLS antishock trekking poles from the late 2000s — reliable poles built for walkers who need shock absorption across everything from a day on the Pennine Way to a multi-day route through the Cairngorms. LESECL116 is the genuine LEKI replacement lower section for this range: 12 mm in diameter, 405 mm printed length, finished in Nature/Silver anodized aluminium, and built for the SLS internal twist-lock interface. It covers this antishock range across approximately 2006 to 2009. On an SLS antishock pole the lower section is the tip-end component below the antishock spring mechanism, and correct diameter and length are essential to ensuring the SLS collar seats accurately within the middle section. LESECL116 restores the original 12 mm diameter and 405 mm printed length, allowing the SLS twist-lock to function correctly. The 405 mm printed length on your existing lower section is the check that matters — confirm this number before ordering, as other LEKI SLS sections with a 12 mm tip are specified to different lengths.

✓ To fit: twist the SLS collar at the base of the middle section anti-clockwise to release. The lower section slides free. Insert LESECL116 from below until the internal stop is reached. Twist clockwise until the lock engages. Set to your required length and pull-test before use.
✓ SLS lock check: after fitting, apply firm downward pressure on the tip. The section must not slip or rotate. The SLS mechanism is fixed-tension — a collar that does not hold after correct fitting requires replacement.
