LEKI Sherpa XL, Khumbu & Makalu Antishock Replacement Lower Section

This 14 mm lower section is the correct factory replacement for the LEKI Sherpa XL, Khumbu, and Makalu Antishock trekking poles in the SL2+DSS black anodized configuration, built on the standard 18/16/14 mm three-section telescopic geometry. The DSS (Dynamic Suspension System) anti-shock spring is integrated into this lower section assembly — unlike the SAS system, which sits in the upper section, DSS is located in the lower section itself. The Speed Lock 2 (SL2) external lever clamps against the 14 mm section for height adjustment. The black anodized finish (colour code 033) and 423 mm printed length are the defining specifications for this version. From boulder-strewn descents above Snowdonia to extended ridge routes through the Lake District, the Sherpa XL, Khumbu, and Makalu Antishock provided DSS-cushioned performance across demanding terrain. When the lower section is worn, bent, or the DSS mechanism fails, only this specific SL2+DSS section restores the original function. The 423 mm printed length is specific to this DSS configuration — it is not interchangeable with the standard 490 mm SL2 version. Verify the printed marking before ordering. Sold as a single section.
