This genuine LEKI Middle Section 3 (MS3) spare fits the Sherpa FX Carbon Strong — LEKI's Performance Series trekking pole built for taller and heavier trekkers, load carriers and expedition use where strength comes first. The 16 mm Carbon (PRC 1000) section is supplied at 295 mm to match the pole sizes listed below — fit the correct length and the pole performs exactly as it left the factory. The Sherpa FX Carbon Strong adjusts its overall length through the Speed Lock system on the upper shaft, but each folding section is a fixed factory length — so the replacement must match this section's dimensions exactly. Whether you are on the Lakeland fells, Snowdonia or a Highland multi-day, a fresh section beats replacing the whole pole.

Which section is the MS3?
These poles fold into five sections. From the tip upward: the Lower section (tip end), MS3, MS2, then MS1, with the Vario upper section and grip at the top. MS3 sits directly above the lower section.
How the folding system works
The pole folds via LEKI's External Locking Device (ELD) — the button at the top of the folding joints — while overall length adjusts separately through the Speed Lock lever on the upper section. The folding sections themselves are a fixed length per model.
How to fit
1. Unfold the pole and locate the joints either side of the MS3 section.
2. Release the folding lock and separate the damaged section from its neighbours.
3. Thread the internal cord through the replacement section, reconnect, and lock the joints back into position.
If the internal cord is damaged, the pole needs a workshop repair — a section swap alone will not fix it.
Black endcap? Do not order — black endcap poles are not user-fittable.
