The Makalu, Sherpa XL V, Sherpa XTG and related models are LEKI trekking poles using the Speed Lock 2 (SL2) locking system, which operates via a lever-based Speed Lock 2 clamp system. This 16 mm middle section at 495 mm length is the correct replacement for the specified variants. The middle section connects the upper section assembly to the lower section and is the most frequently replaced component after extended field use. Before ordering, confirm the printed length on your existing middle section reads 495 mm and that the section diameter is 16 mm. The locking system must be Speed Lock 2 (SL2). If you are unsure of compatibility, email photos of the full pole and existing section to [email protected] before ordering.
