Description
The LEKI Tip Protector is a transparent rubber cap that fits over the carbide Flextip of LEKI trekking poles. It protects the tip during storage and transit, and prevents the sharp carbide point from damaging bag contents, car boots, luggage, or any surface the poles come into contact with when not in use.
Made from durable clear rubber. Slides on and off quickly — no tools required. Compatible with LEKI trekking poles fitted with standard carbide Flextips. Sold as a pair — one cap per pole.

What is a Flextip? ▼
The LEKI Flextip is the standard carbide tip used across the LEKI trekking pole range. It features a hardened carbide spike for grip on rock, compressed earth, and snow, set in a flexible housing that absorbs lateral impact and reduces pole stress at the tip joint. The Tip Protector caps are designed specifically for this interface — they fit firmly over the Flextip body without risk of falling off during normal handling.
Storage and transit ▼
Carbide tips are hardened specifically to resist wear on abrasive surfaces — which makes them equally effective at damaging soft materials they come into contact with in a bag or car. Fitting tip protectors before storing poles prevents punctures to rucksacks, tent fabric, sleeping bags, and other packed items. They also protect the tips themselves from chipping against hard surfaces in transit.
