LESECL100 is the genuine LEKI replacement lower section for this range: 12 mm in diameter, 455 mm printed length, finished in black anodized aluminium, and designed for the Speed Lock 2 external lever clamp at the lower joint. It covers the Thermolite XL, Thermolite XL V, Sherpa Lite XTG, Sherpa Lite, and Peak 3 across approximately 2014 to 2024. The lower section on an SL2 pole is clamped by the lever housing rather than a twist collar, and wear on the lever bore or damage to the tube affects clamping force directly. ✓ To fit: open the Speed Lock 2 lever fully at the base of the middle section. The lower section slides free downward. Insert LESECL100 from below, pushing until the internal stop is reached. Close the lever firmly. Set to your required length and confirm the clamp holds under a firm pull-test before use.
✓ Lever tension: if the Speed Lock 2 lever does not clamp the section securely after fitting, locate the small adjustment screw on the lever body and turn clockwise in quarter-turn increments to increase clamping force. Re-test after each increment.
✓ SL2 identification: the Speed Lock 2 lever is an external clamp at the joint marked “SL2” or “Speed Lock 2”. It opens outward on a hinge. If your pole has an internal twist collar at this joint, it uses SLS, not SL2, and this section will not fit.
