The Cressida and Lhasa are LEKI’s SL1 trekking poles built for lightweight mountain walking and long-distance routes — proven performers across more than a decade on everything from Snowdonia ridges to remote Highland terrain. LESECL114 is the genuine LEKI replacement lower section for this range: 12 mm in diameter, 420 mm printed length, finished in black anodized aluminium, and designed for the Speed Lock 1 external lever clamp at the lower joint. It covers the Cressida and Lhasa across approximately 2013 to 2024. On an SL1 pole the lower section is held by external lever clamping, and tube diameter is critical to maintaining full clamping force throughout the adjustment range. LESECL114 restores the original 12 mm diameter and 420 mm printed length, ensuring the Speed Lock 1 lever seats and clamps correctly. ✓ To fit: open the Speed Lock 1 lever fully at the base of the middle section. The lower section slides free. Insert LESECL114 from below until the internal stop is reached. Close the lever firmly. Set to your required length and pull-test before use.
✓ Lever tension: if the Speed Lock 1 lever does not clamp securely after fitting, locate the adjustment screw on the lever body and turn clockwise in quarter-turn increments to increase clamping force.
✓ SL1 identification: the Speed Lock 1 lever is an external clamp at the lower joint that opens outward on a hinge. It has a more compact profile than the later SL2; a twist collar at this joint means SLS — not compatible.
✓ After fitting, apply firm downward pressure on the tip at mid-length. The lever must hold without slipping before the pole is used.
