The Shiva AS in Black Anodized is LEKI’s anti-shock ladies’ trekking pole from the 2008–2009 production era, finished in the sharper Black Anodized colourway as an alternative to the standard Nature / Silver Anodized finish. Engineered for walkers who wanted joint-damping performance on demanding terrain — from the granite ridges of Snowdonia to the long coastal descents of the Jurassic Coast — the Shiva AS paired a 16/14/12 mm three-section SL2 build with active anti-shock damping in the upper assembly. This 420 mm lower section is the tip-end unit and the component that bears the most direct contact stress in use. Correct replacement requires verifying both the printed length (420 mm) and diameter (12 mm) on your existing lower section before ordering. The SL2 Speed Lock 2 external lever is specific to this generation and cannot be substituted with SLS, SL1, or SL+ systems. This Black Anodized variant is distinct from the Nature / Silver Anodized Shiva AS — both use SL2 locking and 420 mm lower sections, but are finished differently; the section itself is functionally identical.

✓ SL2 lock verification: apply firm downward pressure on the tip; the lower section must not slip, extend, or produce any clicking or play. Any movement indicates incomplete lever closure or collar wear.
