Description

LEKI Code: LESECL32 14 mm Lower Section 500 mm Length Silver Coated Classic Lock (CLA) 16/14 mm Section Production Era: 2005–2014
Before Speed Lock became the industry benchmark, LEKI's Classic Lock (CLA) lever clamp system was carrying walkers across the limestone pavements of the Yorkshire Dales, the granite ridgelines of the Cairngorms, and the long valley approaches of the Lake District. The Tour Soft, Colorado, Air Thermo Long, Adventure, and a range of companion poles from the 2005–2014 production era were built around this reliable external lever architecture — and when the lower section takes a rock strike or bends beyond use, this genuine LEKI replacement restores the pole to its original specification without a full replacement. This lower section is manufactured to 14 mm diameter and a printed length of 500 mm, finished in silver coat (colour code 025). The Classic Lock clamp bears directly on the outer wall of the lower section at the point of adjustment — a genuine LEKI section ensures precise fit at the correct diameter, correct lever clamping pressure, and correct adjustment range. Aftermarket sections cut to approximate sizes create play in the lever clamp and accelerate wear on the mechanism. Fitting genuine matters here. Sold as a single section.

► Compatible Poles & Fitting Guide
This lower section is confirmed compatible with the following LEKI Classic Lock (CLA) trekking poles. Always verify the printed length and diameter on your existing lower section before ordering.
Tour Soft — 062024, 062023, 072023, 072024
Air Thermo Long — 062026
Colorado — 062018
Adventure — 062019
Additional confirmed compatible article codes (model names not established from available sources) — 052018, 052019, 052222, 052223, 062106, 062116, 062228, 062433, 062251, 062229, 072273, 072274, 062266, 072001, 6352020, 6352021
Fitting: Slide the new lower section into the middle section from the tip end. Ensure the section is fully seated before tightening the Classic Lock lever clamp. The clamp should lock firmly without excessive force — a section that is loose under normal lever tension indicates an incorrect fit.
Lever tension adjustment: If the lever clamp feels loose after fitting the new section, adjust the tension using the small plastic adjuster nut on the clamp collar. Turn clockwise in small increments until the lever locks securely at approximately 90 degrees of rotation.
► Not Compatible With
Speed Lock 1 (SL1) poles — Speed Lock introduced a revised lever clamp geometry and section interface; CLA sections are not interchangeable with SL1 poles
Speed Lock 2 (SL2) and Speed Lock + (SL+) poles — later Speed Lock generations with further evolved clamping interfaces; incompatible with Classic Lock sections
SLS (Super Lock System) poles — internal twist-lock mechanism; entirely different locking architecture, not compatible with Classic Lock lever sections
Poles with a different lower section specification — must match 14 mm diameter and 500 mm printed length exactly; fitting a section with incorrect dimensions will result in poor clamping performance or structural failure

BEFORE YOU ORDER — FOUR-POINT CHECK
Printed length: The length printed on your existing lower section must read 500 mm — do not estimate from physical measurement alone
Diameter: Confirm the lower section diameter is 14 mm at the widest (top) point — measure with calipers if unsure
Locking system: Confirm your pole uses the Classic Lock (CLA) external lever clamp — the CLA lever is a hinged metal clip that snaps outward to release the section. If your pole uses the later Speed Lock system (introduced c.2007), order LESECL46 or LESECL50 depending on diameter and length
Construction: Confirm the pole is a 3-section telescopic (Vario) design with a 16/14 mm section profile — CLA poles with a different diameter profile require a different replacement section
