Description

LEKI Code: LESECL33 14 mm Lower Section 420 mm Length Nature / Silver Anodized SLS (Super Lock System) 16/14 mm Section Production Era: 2006–2008
The Ergometric Long Antishock was a pole designed for walkers who needed a longer pole geometry and the benefit of antishock damping across long-distance days on the Brecon Beacons or the full length of the Pennine Way. Produced during the 2006–2008 era and built around LEKI's SLS (Super Lock System) internal twist-lock mechanism, these poles were built to last — and when a lower section bends or cracks from a fall or rock strike, this genuine replacement restores the original 14 mm diameter, 420 mm printed length, and structural performance without sourcing a new pair of poles. Finished in nature / silver anodized aluminium (colour code 036), the section matches the original lower section specification exactly. The SLS twist-lock engages with the inner wall of the section — fitting a genuine LEKI section ensures the correct diameter tolerance for the lock to seat and hold under load. Undersized or oversized aftermarket sections will prevent the SLS mechanism from achieving a secure lock. Sold as a single section.

► Compatible Poles & Fitting Guide
This lower section is confirmed compatible with the following LEKI SLS trekking poles. Always verify the printed length and diameter on your existing lower section before ordering.
Ergometric Long Antishock — 062039, 072039
Additional confirmed compatible article codes (model names not established from available sources) — 062260
Compatibility note: The antishock damping mechanism on the Ergometric Long Antishock is housed in the upper section and handle assembly — the lower section itself is a standard SLS aluminium section with no internal damping components. This replacement section is compatible regardless of whether the antishock mechanism in the upper section is functional.
Fitting: Insert the new lower section into the middle section from the tip end. Rotate the SLS collar clockwise to engage the internal twist-lock mechanism. The section should seat without force — resistance indicates incorrect alignment rather than correct fit.
Care after fitting: Clean the new section with a dry cloth after use in wet or muddy conditions. Do not apply oil or lubricant to the section surface — this interferes with the SLS internal expander grip and reduces locking security over time.
Lock tension: If the SLS collar turns without locking firmly, check that the expander inside the middle section is not worn or cracked. The SLS mechanism relies on the expander bearing against the inner wall of the lower section — replace the expander if clamping is insufficient after fitting a new section.
► Not Compatible With
Speed Lock 1 (SL1) poles — external lever clamp system; entirely different locking interface and section geometry from SLS twist-lock poles
Speed Lock 2 (SL2) and Speed Lock + (SL+) poles — later external lever generations with different section interfaces; not compatible with SLS sections
Classic Lock (CLA) poles — older external lever system; different clamping mechanism and section tolerances, incompatible with SLS sections
Poles with a different lower section specification — must match 14 mm diameter and 420 mm printed length exactly; incorrect dimensions prevent the SLS mechanism from locking securely

BEFORE YOU ORDER — FOUR-POINT CHECK
Printed length: The length printed on your existing lower section must read 420 mm — measure the printed marking on the section, not the physical length
Diameter: Confirm the lower section outer diameter is 14 mm — calipers give the most reliable reading
Locking system: Confirm your pole uses the SLS (Super Lock System) — this is a twist collar on the outside of the pole that tightens by rotating rather than by a hinged lever. If your pole has an external lever clamp, this section is not suitable
Construction: Confirm the pole is a 3-section telescopic (Vario) design with a 16/14 mm section profile — SLS poles with a different diameter profile require a different replacement section
Not sure which section you need? Email photos of the full pole, the damaged section, and any visible article codes to [email protected] — the team can confirm the correct spare part before you order
