The Tour Carbon III Speed L was built for taller walkers who needed a full-length adjustment range without compromise — a pole that paired LEKI's Speed Lock 1 (SL1) external lever with a longer lower section geometry to provide the full working height range at heights above the standard adjustment envelope. At 544 mm, this is one of the longest lower sections in the LEKI SL1 aluminium range, and its printed length is the defining specification: fitting any other lower section length leaves the pole outside its designed height range. When this section is bent or cracked in the field, this replacement restores the original 14 mm diameter, 544 mm geometry, and black anodized finish. Finished in black anodized aluminium (colour code 033), this section is produced to the 14 mm outer diameter required by the Speed Lock 1 lever clamp. The SL1 lever applies clamping force directly to the outer wall of the lower section — only a section ground to the correct diameter allows the lever to close fully and hold under descending load. At 544 mm printed length, verify the printed marking on your existing section before ordering — this is the long-version specification and is not compatible with standard-length Tour Carbon III poles. Sold as a single section.

✓ Fitting: Slide the new lower section into the middle section from the tip end. Close the Speed Lock 1 lever to secure. The lever should close flush with the collar — if it does not fully close, the section diameter may not match your specific pole.
✓ Lever tension adjustment: If the section moves under normal lever clamping force, tighten the adjuster nut on the clamp collar clockwise in quarter-turn increments until the lever locks securely. Do not overtighten.
