This 12 mm lower section is the correct factory replacement for the LEKI Traveller Carbon trekking pole, built on the reduced-diameter 14/12 mm Lite geometry. The Traveller Carbon used the SLS (Super Lock System) internal twist-lock mechanism for height adjustment — rotate anti-clockwise to release, set height, rotate clockwise to lock — with no external lever required. The carbon construction reduces weight significantly compared to the aluminium Traveller, making this section specific to the Traveller Carbon’s lightweight specification. The carbon black matt finish (colour code 098) and 430 mm printed length are the defining specifications for this section. This lower section is confirmed compatible with the following LEKI poles. Always verify the printed length and diameter on your existing lower section before ordering.

✓ Diameter check: This is a 12 mm section. Measure the diameter of your existing lower section with calipers before ordering. A section measuring a different diameter requires a different spare part.
✓ Length verification: The 430 mm printed length is the defining specification — measure the printed marking on your existing lower section, not the physical length. A section showing any other printed length requires a different spare part.
✓ Fitting: Rotate the existing lower section anti-clockwise to disengage the SLS lock, then slide it out from the tip end. Insert the new section and rotate clockwise until the lock engages with firm resistance. Test by applying downward load before use.
✓ Lock engagement: The SLS mechanism should engage with a firm, positive resistance when rotated clockwise. If the section rotates freely or fails to hold under load, the internal SLS collar may require assessment or replacement.
