This 12 mm lower section serves a family of LEKI Speed Lock 2 (SL2) Lite and Ladies trekking poles produced between 2003 and 2010, covering well-regarded models including the Khumbu Lite AS, Makalu Lite AS, Khumbu Lite Antishock, Corklite Antishock, Tremalzo Antishock, and Thermolite XL Antishock. The 12 mm section diameter is smaller than the standard 14 mm used across LEKI’s mainstream trekking range, placing these poles in the reduced-diameter Lite and Ladies geometry designed for lighter construction and smaller users. The SL2 external lever provides fast single-motion height adjustment from 100 to 135 cm, clamping directly against the outer wall of the 12 mm section. The black anodized finish (colour code 033) and the 385 mm printed length are the two defining specifications for this version. From autumn approaches to Ben Nevis in poor weather to steady days across the Yorkshire Dales, these poles served a generation of lighter-framed hillwalkers who valued the responsiveness of a reduced-diameter build.
