The Journey Lite, Journey Lite Antishock and Legacy Lite are the nature / silver anodized members of LEKI’s accessible Lite trekking range — lightweight 14 mm aluminium poles suited to a wide range of walkers from Peak District day trips to multi-day routes along the Pennines. This 462 mm middle section in nature / silver anodized finish is the correct Speed Lock Plus (SPL+) replacement across all three models in the range, introduced from 2019 onwards. Sharing the same tube diameter, printed length and locking mechanism, the section fits all variants including the antishock version of the Journey Lite where fitted. The nature / silver anodized finish gives these poles their distinctive understated look, and this section matches that finish exactly. The Speed Lock Plus (SPL+) lever mechanism — a single folding lever with an adjustable tension collar — holds the telescoping position firmly under walking load without the need for tool-based adjustment. Confirm the printed length on your existing section reads 462 mm and the diameter is 14 mm before ordering.

✓ Article code check: if your article code is not listed in our Sections Master, email a photo of your full pole and handle to [email protected] and we will confirm compatibility before you order. Additional confirmed codes exist for this section that are not currently fully identified in available sources.
✓ To fit: open the Speed Lock Plus (SPL+) lever on the upper section, slide the new middle section fully into the lower end of the upper section until correctly seated, close the lever to lock. Insert the lower section into the base of the middle section and lock in the same way.
✓ Lever tension adjustment: open the lever fully, rotate the tension adjustment collar a quarter-turn (clockwise to tighten, anti-clockwise to loosen), close and retest. Repeat until resistance is correct and the section holds position under load.
✓ Post-fit care: dry the section fully before storing the pole. Never store collapsed with moisture inside as this can damage the lock collar over time. Do not apply oil or lubricant to the locking mechanism.
► Not Compatible With
✗ Speed Lock 1 (SL1) poles — different lever and collar system; SPL+ sections are not interchangeable with SL1
✗ Speed Lock 2 (SL2) poles — SL2 uses a separate locking generation and incompatible section interface
✗ SLS (Super Lock System) poles — SLS uses a twist-lock collar, mechanically incompatible with the SPL+ lever
✗ Poles with a different section specification — this section is 14 mm diameter and 462 mm; do not fit if your existing section has a different printed length or diameter
