Leki Legacy Lite AS

The LEKI Legacy Lite AS is a three-section aluminium trekking pole that combines the accessible, lightweight build of the Legacy Lite with the Dynamic Suspension System (DSS) antishock. It is the Active Series choice for walkers who want genuine joint protection on descents without moving up to a heavier or more expensive pole.

At 257 g per pole the Legacy Lite AS remains one of the lighter antishock trekking poles in the LEKI range. The DSS is integrated internally above the tip and absorbs impact energy on each pole plant, dispersing the transmitted load before it reaches the wrist, elbow and shoulder. On long days with significant descent, this makes a tangible difference to how fresh the upper body feels by the end of a route. When a firm, direct pole feel is preferred — on ascents or hard ground — the antishock can be locked out entirely.

The EVOCON grip in 2K CorTec, Standard size, is the defining grip of the Legacy family. Its rounded, anatomically shaped contact surface is designed to support the natural curve of the hand and reduce fatigue across extended use. The fully rubberised grip back provides additional hold and control on descents. Lock Security Strap Soft 2.0 is continuously adjustable for a secure, comfortable fit throughout the day. Speed Lock plus handles length adjustment cleanly across the full 100–135 cm range.

Both Racing and Trekking baskets are supplied, making the Legacy Lite AS ready for mixed trail, mountain, and everyday walking without any additional purchase.

What’s new for SS26: Updated graphics in Black / Denim Blue / White. Construction and specification are unchanged from the SS25 Legacy Lite AS (LE65221831). The non-antishock version is available as the Legacy Lite (LE65621841S).

Grip ▼

EVOCON grip in 2K CorTec, Standard size. The EVOCON shape is anatomically contoured with a rounded support surface that follows the natural curve of the hand, reducing pressure points and fatigue across extended use. 2K CorTec blends natural cork with rubber for a grip that is warm in cold conditions, moisture-managing in warm weather, and durable across repeated seasons. The back of the grip is fully rubberised for secure grip and additional control on descents. This is the defining grip of the Legacy family — it differs from the Aergon and Aergon Air grips used on the Makalu and Khumbu families. The grip spec is identical to the non-antishock Legacy Lite (LE65621841S).

Strap ▼

Lock Security Strap Soft 2.0 — one size, continuously adjustable. Soft-touch webbing for comfort across extended use. Standard strap attachment — no integrated click-in glove interface.

Locking system ▼

Speed Lock plus external lever. Fast, precise length adjustment across the full 100–135 cm range. Operable with gloves on. Lever tension is adjustable via the integrated tensioning screw.

Section construction ▼

Three-section Vario telescopic construction. Aluminium (HTS 6.0) throughout all three sections — upper, middle and lower. Section diameters 16 | 14 | 12 mm — the slimmer Lite architecture shared across the Legacy Lite (LE65621841S), Khumbu Lite AS (LE65621561S), and Makalu Lite AS (LE65621801S) families. Matt finish. Pack size 68 cm when fully collapsed.

Tip, basket and antishock ▼

Dynamic Suspension System (DSS) antishock, integrated internally above the tip. The DSS absorbs and disperses impact energy on each pole plant, reducing transmitted load through the wrist, arm and shoulder on sustained descents. The system can be locked out when a firm, direct pole response is preferred. The DSS Tip 12 mm (Carbide) is the dedicated tip for this DSS section architecture. Both a Racing basket and a Trekking basket are supplied — an advantage of the Legacy family over other Lite models which include only the Trekking 2.0 basket. Note: the lower section uses a DSS/SPL2 fitting and is not interchangeable with the lower section of the non-antishock Legacy Lite, which uses a standard Speed Lock lower.

• LEKI Trigger or Shark click-in glove systems — the Legacy Lite AS uses a standard strap attachment, not a Trigger interface.
• Lower sections from the non-antishock Legacy Lite (LE65621841S) — the DSS lower section uses a DSS/SPL2 fitting which is specific to antishock models and is not interchangeable with a standard Speed Lock lower.
• Sections designed for the standard Legacy (18|16|14 mm) — the Legacy Lite AS uses the slimmer 16|14|12 mm Lite architecture. These are not interchangeable.
• FX folding pole sections — the Legacy Lite AS is a Vario telescopic design. FX folding sections are a different architecture and are not compatible.
• Standard Flex Tip or Flex Tip Short carbide tips — the DSS lower section requires a DSS-specific tip. Standard Flex Tip fittings are not compatible with this model.
