Leki Skysolo FX Carbon Compact

The LEKI Skysolo FX Carbon Compact is a four-section folding trekking pole that combines FX folding pack convenience with continuous Vario length adjustment across a Compact range of 100 to 120 cm. It is designed for shorter users or those who prefer a lower grip position on steep terrain, and for anyone who needs a carbon folding pole that packs to 40 cm without giving up the ability to fine-tune length on the move.

Three carbon (PRC 1000) upper sections and an aluminium (HTS 6.5) lower section give the pole its combination of stiffness and low weight. At 217 g per pole, the Skysolo FX Carbon Compact sits well within the lightweight end of the FX folding trekking category. The ELD folding mechanism connects and tensions the sections internally, and the Speed Lock 2 plus with aluminium lever clamps the Vario adjustment at any point within the 100 to 120 cm range.

The Verticon grip in 2K Foam — presented in a White / Blue Purple / Black colourway on the Compact — uses an angled profile that supports the natural hand and wrist angle during prolonged ascent and descent, reducing cumulative strain at altitude. A 1K Foam grip extension below the main grip provides an additional hold position for steep downhill sections and technical ground. The D-Loop Mesh Strap, carried across from trail running, is ultralight, fast-drying and continuously adjustable.

The Skysolo FX Carbon Compact is a new product for SS26 with no direct predecessor. It is the Compact counterpart to the Skysolo FX Carbon Standard (LE65627101S), which covers 120 to 140 cm. The two versions share the same grip system, locking system, folding mechanism, basket and tip, but differ in sizerun, section count, section diameters, and colourway. Their sections are not interchangeable.

Grip ▼

Verticon grip in 2K Foam, Standard size. Presented in a White / Blue Purple / Black colourway on the Compact, distinct from the Neon Orange colourway on the Standard version. The Verticon uses an angled profile that supports the natural resting angle of the hand during prolonged ascent and descent, reducing cumulative wrist strain on sustained steep terrain. A 1K Foam grip extension below the main grip body provides an additional hold position — useful for steep downhill sections or when greater pole control is needed on technical ground. The grip weighs 28 g including strap. The D-Loop Mesh Strap attaches via the grip's integrated loop system and is ultralight, breathable and fast-drying. One size, continuously adjustable.

Strap ▼

D-Loop Mesh Strap. Ultralight mesh construction adapted from trail running for use on mountain terrain. Fast-drying and fully breathable. One size, continuously adjustable. Attaches via the D-Loop interface on the Verticon grip — not a Trigger Shark click-in system. The D-Loop design allows rapid wrist exit without unfastening the full strap.

Locking system ▼

Speed Lock 2 plus with aluminium lever. The Speed Lock 2 plus uses an external clamp lever to grip the inner section, providing fast and positive length adjustment across the 100 to 120 cm Compact range. To adjust: open the lever, slide the section to the desired length, close the lever. No twisting or internal tightening required. Do not use oils or lubricants on the locking mechanism.

Folding system ▼

ELD folding system with Vario length adjustment. ELD (Easy Locking Device) connects the sections via an internal cord and locking mechanism, collapsing the four sections to a 40 cm pack size. The length can be set to any point within the 100 to 120 cm Compact range using the Speed Lock 2 plus system. All four folding sections are individually replaceable. Note: the Standard version (LE65627101S) is a five-section pole with a different section architecture — sections between the two variants are not interchangeable.

Section construction ▼

Four sections. Section diameters 18 | 16 | 14 | 14 mm. Upper section, middle section 1, and middle section 2: Carbon (PRC 1000). Lower section: Aluminium (HTS 6.5). All four sections are individually replaceable. Spare section data is not yet documented against the SS26 product code; this is a new model with no predecessor parts pool.

Tip, basket and exchange basket ▼

Flex Tip Long (Carbide) for mountain and trail terrain. Trekking 2.0 basket supplied for standard use. Binding Basket 2.0 supplied as an exchange basket — designed for use in snow and winter mountain conditions where a larger basket is required.

• Shark Frame Strap Mesh or any Trigger Shark strap — this pole uses the D-Loop Mesh Strap via the Verticon grip loop interface.
• Sections from the Skysolo FX Carbon Standard (LE65627101S) — the Standard uses a 5-section 18|16|14|14|14 mm architecture; the Compact uses 4-section 18|16|14|14 mm. These are not interchangeable.
• Sections from the Skysolo FX.One Carbon (LE65620731) — that model is a fixed-length 4-section pole with 16|14|14|14 mm sections and a different folding architecture.
• Sections from any telescopic or Vario non-folding pole — ELD folding sections are a distinct architecture.
