Leki DSS Tip 12mm

The DSS tip integrates a hardened carbide insert within a spring-loaded rubber housing — the spring absorbs ground impact dynamically rather than transmitting shock directly through the shaft. Fitting a worn or damaged DSS tip with a genuine replacement maintains the original spring rate and the correct seating geometry for your pole's lower section.

This tip is compatible with the Khumbu Lite AS, Legacy Lite AS, and Makalu Lite AS. It is not compatible with LEKI AS poles using a 14mm or 18mm lower section diameter.

• A worn DSS tip reduces spring travel — replacing it restores full anti-shock protection on long descents where joint stress accumulates.
• Carbide tip insert maintains grip on hard rock, packed earth, and icy trail surfaces where rubber alone would slip.
• Genuine LEKI part ensures the correct spring rate and housing tolerance — aftermarket tips alter the DSS performance and can cause premature wear on the lower section collar.
• Extending pole life through tip replacement is far more cost-effective than replacing the lower section or the full pole.

• Makalu FX Carbon AS — uses 14mm DSS tip (18|16|14|14|14mm section diameter)
• Any LEKI pole without the DSS anti-shock system — standard carbide tips are not interchangeable with DSS tips
